John L's Story
Life
Since High School I've lived a varied life. In June 1959 I joined the Navy. All of my Navy shore duty was in southern California, where I met my wife. I served aboard 4 ships of the 1st and 7th fleets. My family consisting of my wife and one son while living in Thailand, and by the time the other son came along we were living in Japan. rines in 29 Palms, & Camp Pendleton, CA, and Camp Lejune, NC. I retired from the Navy while assigned to the 8th Marines, 2D Marine Division, (FMF)
After graduating Memphis State, I started a new job. I worked for the friendly IRS. I am also a nurse. My superior in 1992 was non other than Katherine (Hudson) McBride at he MED. She & I went to the same schools from 1st grade to 12th.
On 31 July 2003 I retired from the IRS.
We lead, while others follow.
